Christine Hsu

Christine has over ten years of project management experience in a variety of different businesses and organizations, including the Taipei World Trade Center, Citibank Taiwan, Wang & Li Asia Resources, the US-
Taiwan Business Council in Washington, D.C., as well as the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office there.

Christine is an active proponent of community ser-
vice initiatives and has held a series of leadership positions prior to founding ORIENTED, which itself began as a voluntary effort in 1998.

Christine has a bachelor's degree in marketing from the USC Honors College. She is currently based in the Bay Area after an eight-year stint in Taipei and travels frequently around the U.S. and Asia.

Ben Cheng

Click here to read Ben's funny file! Ben is the Webmaster for ORIENTED and manages all site maintenance and development initiatives.

Previously, Ben lead a team of developers for NetBizSoft Software in Taiwan and China, planned, designed and developed the initial web presence of Ace Group Inc., and was last with Qwest Communications as a senior software engineer in the Content Management group.

Ben holds an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Chicago and a MA in biomedical sciences from the University of Hawaii-Manoa. He has over eight years of experience in all things web-related and is currently based in New York City.


Michael D. Lee

Click here to read Mike's funny file! Michael serves as legal advisor to ORIENTED and is also resident Partner of Pamir Law Group in Taipei.

His area of concentration includes cross-border venture capital, M&As, project finance, aircraft leasing and corporate transactions for MNCs and local clients in Greater China.

Previously, Michael was senior associate at the Taipei office of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey and before that, an associate at Pillsbury Madison & Sutro (now Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP) in Silicon Valley where he advised investors and start-up companies alike on venture capital investment, IPOs, M&As and general corporate and securities matters.

Michael holds an electrical engineering degree from UC Irvine and a law degree from the McGeorge School of Law where he became the first Asian-American Editor-in-Chief of what is now the McGeorge Law Review.

James Leu

Founder, Jim currently serves as Senior Advisor, Shanghai. He takes credit for a number of new initi-
atives, including the launch of our very first Happy Hours in China in early 2002. Jim went on to serve as General Manager, Shanghai until 2005.

Jim received his B.A. in Psychology from Vassar College and brings over ten years of Greater China marketing experience having worked in Taipei, San Francisco and Shanghai.

Jim is currently Marketing Director for the Digit One Group -- creators of Talk da Talk -- of which he also co-founded. Prior to moving to Shanghai, Jim was Director of Marketing for Kick.com, Inc. in the Bay Area which was later acquired by Sony Digital Music Ventures.


Eyee Hsu

Click here to read Eyee's funny file! Eyee serves as Senior Advisor, Beijing and has been an active leader within the ORIENTED organization since May 2002 in both Tokyo and Beijing.

Eyee received a B.A. in Environmental Science and a B.A. in Economics at UC Berkeley, where she graduated with high honors. She has over six years of project management and management consulting experience in business strategy, operations, and process efficiency.

Eyee is currently the host of Up Close, a studio audience guest interview program on CCTV9 (China Central Television's English Channel). Previously, she lived in Tokyo where she served as Senior Advisor at Global Health Consulting, a health care consulting firm.


Nelson Lee

Click here to read Nelson's funny file! With over ten years of corporate finance experience, Nelson serves as an independent finance consultant in the Bay Area helping small to medium size companies with their corporate finance and planning requirements.

Previously, Nelson served as Director, FP&A for iScribe, Inc. and Treasury Manager at SGI. Nelson has also served in various financial and technical capacities at Lockheed Martin, IBM, and the US Department of Treasury.

Nelson has an MBA from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from Drexel University. He has also completed Lockheed Martin's Financial Leadership Development Program.
