Co-Host Requirements

  • Be registered non-profit organizations and active for at least one calendar year
  • Offer professional events or services that add value to our Members and complement our monthly mixers
  • Service the interests of Asia's international communities (or have an Asian or Asia-Pacific focus if based outside of Asia)
  • Agree to jointly promote the event to its members to maximize networking opportunities for both groups

Event Definition

  1. The event is officially an "ORIENTED Happy Hour" as per ORIENTED's regular last-Thursday-of-the-month, signature service.

  2. ORIENTED is the official "Main Host" of the event and will make all venue arrangements.

Venues are typically confirmed on or before the 1st of the month of the scheduled Happy Hour and posted to the ORIENTED Events Calendar.

  3. The COP organization is the official "Co-Host" of the ORIENTED Happy Hour.

  4. The event title on all ORIENTED and Co-Host marketing materials should be "ORIENTED Happy Hour in (city) with (Co-Host name)!" Click here to see example.

  5. Per approval, the theme of the event (if any) may be selected by the Co-Host to raise awareness of their special interests or upcoming events!

Themes can be professional in nature or focus on community service, education, arts & culture, politics, etc.

Door Fees

  • General admission price at all ORIENTED Happy Hours worldwide are US$10 (or local currency equivalent).

  • Guests who RSVP in advance with ORIENTED will receive 50% off, unless otherwise indicated.

  • Online RSVP is closed the day before the event.

Revenue Share

  1. ORIENTED is responsible for collecting and managing its own RSVP Guest List and keeps 100% of door fee revenues collected.

  2. The Co-Host may also collect and manage its own RSVP Guest List, in which case the Co-Host keeps 100% of door fee revenues it collects from its members. * If this is the preferred option, the Co-Host is responsible for assigning its own representatives to collect door fees at the door.

Some Co-Hosts don't wish to deal with RSVP management and door fee collection hassles and would rather just co-promote, show up, and network with the attendees. In this case, there would be no revenue share.

  3. "General Admission" moneys collected from walk-ins -- people who do not RSVP in advance either with ORIENTED or with the Co-Host -- goes to ORIENTED, to help with planning and overhead costs as the Host organization.
* The Co-Host is solely responsible for any and all income and other taxes, in any applicable jurisdiction to which it may be subject, resulting from moneys collected as a Co-Host of an ORIENTED.COM, Inc. event. ORIENTED is not responsible for moneys collected and used by the Co-Host.

Follow-Up Activities

Comments and feedback on how we can improve our Community Outreach Program are always welcome, especially at the conclusion of a co-hosted event.

Co-Hosts are also invited to submit COP testimonials to post on the ORIENTED website.

  • COP Testimonial

"... Most of our members that I talked to last night like this idea of joining events, so that they will not see the "old" faces" all the time... [we] spent lots of time explaining what AmCham was about... it's good publicity for the Chamber to all these future leaders..."

    - Stella Huang, Director of Programs
American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei

Thank you for your interest in the ORIENTED Community Outreach Program! We look forward to working with your organization.
