Recipes for Failure

Recruiting New Organizers
  1. Post this position description to our Jobs Database. Members in your city will also be notified of the opportunity.

  2. If you know people who are interested or already have people in mind, send them this link http://oriented.com/guidelines/ and ask them to follow the application instructions provided.

Applications are only required from Co-Head Organizer candidates and those who wish to be acknowledged on the website as official organizers in your city.

  3. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Candidates selected will be asked to organize a Trial Run event.

  4. If they pass the Trial Run with flying colors, we'll then ask you to meet with them for training, but not any earlier.
That's it! Basically, we want to see if they can follow our online instructions and deal with challenges ad-hoc, just as teams in cities where we don't yet have happy hours would be doing.

FRIENDLY REMINDER: No one is exempt from the application process, including those who are personal friends of the organizers, or those who have helped out in the past.
