Head Organizer, Beijing
Born in Northern California, Alexander is a citizen of both Australia and the United States. Son of an Australian entrepreneur father, based in Hong Kong, and an American Advertising Executive mother, based in San Francisco, Alexander spent his first few years shuttling between two continents on the (then daily) Pan Am 747SP from SFO to Kai Tak Airport (the old airport prior to Chep Lap Kok).
A change in family status moved Alexander to Antibes, on the Cote d'Azur in France, for several years where he attended French public school. By age five, he was more conversationally fluent in French than in English. After living in France, Alexander's family returned to Asia living between Hong Kong and the United States. Alexander completed his elementary and secondary schooling at the French American School.
Alexander graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a Bachelor's degree in International Business in May 2005.
While working his way through college, Alexander held a host of positions including: Customer Service Rep for Electronic Arts in Los Angeles; Summer Internship in Client Research and Development with Merrill Lynch in New York City; and Co-Founder of Skytime, Inc., a boutique watch company specializing in producing "niche" watches for astronomical purposes. However, his primary interest was always Asia.
In December of 2005, Alexander was asked to supervise a USC student business tour to Beijing. On his return to the States, he decided that the Orient would be his future. He returned to Beijing in February 2006 and, has since, made it his home.
Alexander is currently working as a Product and Project Manager for a French video game maker in Beijing, Boonty Inc. Working on their new social networking concept at www.cafe.com, Alexander is having the time of his life integrating all his skills on this ambitious project.
