David Chuang Former Organizer, San Francisco Bay Area
David worked for a Chinese import company called Cygnus in Taipei and a U.S. manufacturing company called BRK Electronics in Chicago before joining a Japanese industrial company often referred to as Panasonic. This gave him chance to work in Japan for two years and to accumulate lots of frequent flyer miles from all that business travel. David enjoyed his stay in Japan and had the opportunity to climb Mt. Fuji after two failed unplanned attempts. He found that the sunrise was beautiful and that there is actually a crater (and a post office) at the top, and not a secret military base with sliding rooftop. (Note: It takes eight hours to go up and two hours to come down, start from night. David does not recommend wearing t-shirt and shorts. You do see a trail of flashlights all the way to the top at night, the path up very crowded with the young, the old, and the gaijins). David relocated to the Bay Area in 2000 and enjoys meeting other people who attend the ORIENTED events. His next stop is Shanghai and he hopes to one day attend all the ORIENTED happy hours around the Pacific.
