Lillian Tsai

Lillian is President of TsaiComms, a marketing and communications consulting firm specializing in Chinese culture workshops, community outreach and strategic marketing.

Lillian started TsaiComms in 2002 after a 25-year career in high tech at global companies such as Mentor Graphics, Hewlett-
Packard, GemStone Systems and Encorus Technologies in Stuttgart, Germany. Her clients include small and medium-sized businesses, public agencies, and not-for-profits. In 2003, TsaiComms was named on the Portland Business Journal's Top 25 Minority Businesses after its first year of operations.

Her clients include Anthro Corporation, Custom Craftworks, City Market, City of Portland, ESCO Corporation, Hearing and Speech Institute, InFocus Corporation, International Freight Systems, Jet Reports, Multnomah County, Oregon Bridge Delivery Partners (OBDP), The Port of Portland, Portland Classical Chinese Garden, Portland Rescue Mission, RadiSys and the University of Oregon Law School.

Lillian is active in the local Portland community and serves on several Boards and committees, holding positions such as President of the Northwest China Council, Co-Chair of its China Business Network, a member of TriMet's Citizens Advisory Committee, advisory Board Member of PSU's National Education for Women's Leadership, and Vice President of the Asian American Business Alliance.

In her spare time, Lillian enjoys playing tennis, spinning, step aerobics, weight training, kayaking, hiking, reading, foreign movies, and gardening.

Daughter of one of China's first Davis Cup players, Lillian is a proud single mother of two adult children, Lester (Singapore) and Lindsay (Portland).
