Mimi Chan
Former Organizer, New York

Mimi was born in Hong Kong, but her family moved to New York when she was three. As a young adult, Mimi later returned to Hong Kong for a wedding and decided at that time that she could never live there. She had grown too accustomed to the western culture and lifestyle to give it up!

With a BA in Management Information Systems from Pace University, Mimi stepped foot into the information technology industry and went from being a COBOL programmer to a Business Analyst and now a Project Manager.

Aside from work, Mimi actively participates in a variety of activities, such as volunteering, cooking, studying for her MBA, and sports. Volunteer work plays an integral role in her life. She currently volunteers as a babysitter at church while parents attend services. She also participated in the Relief Society as well and is interested in becoming more involved in charities or organizations that need volunteers.

Cooking and playing sports are her other interests. She has a passion for tennis and air hockey and is hoping to learn racquetball as well. Cooking is probably by far the most challenging hobby because every dish is a challenge. Mimi loves to cook new dishes for family and friends and then getting their opinions on it.

Overall, Mimi lives to enjoy life to the fullest and help others along the way.
