Sherman Wan
Former Organizer, San Francisco Bay Area

Sherman grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and fled to UCLA for his undergraduate studies.

After surviving the LA riots, Northridge earthquake, Malibu fires and the frenzy of the UCLA's '95 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, a weary Sherman returned to the Bay Area to pursue his graduate studies in law and business. Thereafter, he experienced first-hand the heyday of Internet-mania in Taipei, Taiwan as an analyst at venture capital firm Walden International.

One and a half years worth of mango shaved ice, dumplings, knife-cut (not pared) noodles and a mountain of business plans later, Sherman returned to sunny California and currently serves in both a legal and biz dev capacity for VIA Telecom, a CDMA chip company based in San Diego.

He hopes to one day open the first In-N-Out burger joint in Shanghai and Taipei. Anyone interested?

Funny how Sherman worked for an American firm in Taipei and is now with a Taiwanese firm in the U.S. One cannot be any more ORIENTED than he...
