Sherwin Lim has lived in many places around the world but for some reason has always found himself surrounded by bodies of water.

At the bright young age of nine, Sherwin and his family moved from the balmy Philippines to the equally scenic, but com-
pletely different climate of Vancouver, British Columbia, where there is a lot of errr... water.

From there he was to attend Queen's University located right by Lake Ontario in picturesque Kingston, Ontario and was again surrounded by water, but Sherwin also liked to surround himself with other things, such as cute women computer screens, which was very helpful when earning a degree in Computing and Information Science.

Eventually, Sherwin was to find himself in the not-so-scenic Jersey City, NJ (though still next to the Hudson River) working for a start-up company. Six months later, he was back in Toronto, this time working at a digital asset management software company, whose failing financial health was unbeknownst to him until after the fact.

Soon tackled by the burst of the dot com bubble (pop!), Sherwin picked himself back up, brushed himself off, and moved to Taipei -- which is most definitely surrounded by water! -- where he studied Mandarin at National Taiwan University's ICLP program. With his cool Mandarin lan-
guage skills, Sherwin is now working at a local Taiwanese tech company called AVerMedia and is having a good time living and working in Taipei, yo.

When not programming wonders into various electronic gadgets and gizmos, Sherwin can be found hanging off an overhang a la Sylvester Stallone in "Cliffhanger" at Taipei's Y17 indoor rock-climbing gym or being followed around Taipei City by many a lovely woman.
